9:26 pm - Prop 8
If we really want to protect our children from being taught offensive things, I think that California has been focusing on the wrong families. I would be far more concerned on what these children are growing up learning:

12:11 am
Wind flew against the broad landscape of trees and open fields. Our car drove through as the sky started to become a mass of tinted clouds threatening to poor down. Temperature was sinking though it wasn't too cold just chilly and cool. Rain dripped against the windows leaving streaks of newly fallen water still foot printed on the view of the scenery we passed. These are the days that I miss so dearly. We never got them very often in California, only once or twice a year and when it came it was not a long storm spanning weeks, it was more like days and sometimes hours. I loved the rain, that melancholy feeling that washed over you but it has a mix of beauty and wonder. I have had grave doubts about the outcome of this trip since it is not my ideal way to spend 8th grade I am still favoring the chance to spend the beautiful Autumn days in the north-eastern parts of the country. I am very glad that I have traded in the hot blistering sun for windy, drizzling and cold days. There are few things that are purely beautiful in this world but a true Autumn is definitely one of them.

Sorry that this post was more me babbling on about weather than anything else. I think Mom and Pops did a pretty good coverage of the day, I just wanted to inform everyone on the beautiful weather we had earlier today.

Okay so I was bored and I was talking to Winter and I said something and then thought I should write a poem so 10 minutes later I had written this:

Your face blurs and turns red
Birds form a halo around your head
And all that is left is the X’s in your eyes
Where all things are forgotten
The X’s in your eyes
Where all things are forlorn
The X’s in your eyes
Show no sign of hope or joy
Cut through the heart of girl and boy
The X’s in your eyes
Motionless and still
When good has had its fill
The X’s in your eyes
Where life is nothing but lies
The X’s in your eye
Where my animated love shall die

1:06 am - Con Con Con Con!!!
We are in San Diego and there is joyous wonderfulness and jumping up and down. We first got here and settled into our nice big room which has a bed and on the other side a living room like thing with a coffee table and a sofa that also turns into a bed. It is really spacious and nice and fancy. It also weird because we are not staying at the Hyatt or The Embassy Suites. We will be transferring into the Hyatt and Friday but it is still a little weird.

We got to the Convention Center early and walked around. It was amazing how crowded it was. The halls were filled and we wondering around finding people. We bumped into the awesome Kathy Li and she showed all of her cool new toys. We also had a insanely quick conversation with Heidi MacDonald. We walked for a second with Tom Galloway. We stopped to discuss comics with Phil Yeh. We stopped for awhile to say hi to one of the people in those big costumes except she did not have her head on. We talked to Henrik, who was a guest at Rachel's house in Minnesota. We had a short conversation with Malcolm Bourne. We had a conversation while crossing the street with Steve Leighaloha. We talked to Phil Foglio from where we were eating lunch to the street down below. We stopped by Natt Gertler's booth to say high and give him something to hold on to. We had dinner with Calvin Reid and Jody Culkin. We saw a lot of other people I am just so tired to name them all.

There was so much interesting stuff that has gone on and Con hasn't begun yet. I will probably give more details on actual Con days as well as days in which I am actually functioning.

11:00 pm - Sleep Blogging
Okay so I was just commenting that I should be blogging or working on my keynote presentation or sleeping. Maybe I should do all of them at the same time, so here you go, from popular demand from my family I am doing all three at once and am also listening to Winter babble obsessively about cookies and earmuffs. So today was insanely uneventful. After a short breakfast we jumped into the car and drove aimlessly, even though I am assuming that there will actually be a destination at some point. So we stopped at Las Vegas which was a lot more barren and less shiny then I remember. Also it was in New Mexico which it wasn't in before... I think. We ate at a Pizza-Hut and Winter proved that she did not like Green Peppers and I ate a pineapple olive pizza which is actually a combination that I have tried on pizza before. Then we kept on going and listening to music. Mommy demanded that we go to the town Truth or Consequences for some reason that I don't actually know, it was probably a fan thing that goes over my head but she said that we stayed at Beaver so she got to stay here so whatever. And also speaking of Beaver I have decided that next year we should go to all of the 09er towns because there is a town called Beaver in Utah, one in Iowa called Logan, there is the Madison county and I am sure there are lots more. For dinner we ate at a steakhouse which was sadly one of the places that would be easier for me to find food at. Also on the way there we ate at Dunkin' Donuts and Mommy got two chocolate creme (I mean Kreme) filled donuts and talked obsessively to the clerk about her quest to get chocolate kreme filled donuts and then I ordered a chocolate coconut one that I am going to eat later, probably tomorrow or something. While Mommy was ranting I complained to Winter about how Donuts should never ever be combined with marshmallows and she laughed even though no one else probably would ever get that joke and then I complained to Daddy about how I hated that they always spell kreme wrong, I just asked Mommy why they do that and she told me it is because they do not have real creme so I have decided that when ever you lie about something or say something is that it is not then you can just spell it wrong and it will be okay. So I could say, ’oh look there is an elephanet’ and ‘someone would say no that is a bowl of jelly beans’ but I would still be correct because I spelt elephant wrong so it was the kind of elephanet that was actually a bowl of jelly beans. Oh and speaking of vaguely Dadaist conversations I was commenting at dinner that if anyone says something as a statement if the person who they are talking to does not know much about the subject they will automatically assume that the person has authority on the subject and knows exactly what they are talking when it is possible that they are even more clueless than the person that they made the statement to. Then if you say something like "I think" after it the other person automatically thinks that you don't actually know anything about what you are saying and their first instinct will be to go ask someone else the same question.

I am amazed at the actual full sentences of coherent thoughts that I made, well not exactly coherent but... Well anyway there is two days till Con and 5 days until I get to see Jason Dohring live so happiness will ensue but first... sleep, well at least concentrated sleep as opposed to the sleep/blog thing I have been doing for the last 30 minutes.

12:52 am - Too Darn Hot
Hi, I really haven’t blogged recently and I have decided to blog just to complain for a second. We do not have internet so I will be posting this a lot later on but right now while I am writing this it is almost 6 o clock and so light you would think it was like 2 or something. I hate it so much. There is already way to much day time as it is, I really don’t need more. On top of that it has been 100 or more degrees all day and I just want to kill things. I am seriously dreading our trip to Alaska because Mommy has decided to not go in the winter which means we don’t get to go to the nicest combination of time and place in the entire world and she is instead insisting we go to the absolute worst combination of place and time... ever. A place that is all night would be beyond cool, but no, we have to go when it is day all the time. If there was a hell then that would be pretty much what it would be. Someday when I travel the world I will go to all of the places that are near poles and go in the winter and enjoy the lack of sunny bliss.

Sorry I just felt like ranting for a bit.

1:04 am
Okay so today was pretty cool. The first thing we did was go to the local Art museum. Really it is part of MCAD. We went to the Alexander Calder exhibit. For those who do not know, Calder is a artist who does sculptures, mobiles and lots of wire art. We also saw a video of a circus that he put together with just doll like puppets doing circus like things. It was really funny and cool. Then we went through and saw some more exhibits and headed back home.

Later on we met up with Rachel, Sari (a mother and daughter that we befriended two years ago) and Sari's dad, Dave. We went to The Old Spaghetti Factory and I enjoyed the company of two fellow vegetarians. Afterwards we went to pick up some tickets to Amanda’s show (Fuck the Back row) sadly we couldn’t get them and will have to buy them at the door tommarow. Rachel has decided to join us so that is really cool.

Later on we were talking about different stuff and at a part of the conversation we were discussing fandom. I thought it was awesome that my generation was such that Sari, who spends most of her time reading novels still new that ship was short for relationship (internet lingo for the fandom side of things) that made me happy.

Anyway tomorrow I will write more so I will end this really short post now and will keep you update.

1:23 am - Quick Update
Okay so I really need to do a real update because I am way behind and it is so not cool. Sadly I don't really have that much time at the moment and am just going to right a quick post to keep everyone up to date on what going on:

First of all since my last post, our family has for some reason gone media crazy and we have watched, "Superman Returns," "Over the Hedge," (I only saw the first 30 minutes), "The Lake House," "The Devil Wears Prada," and a midnight showing of "Pirates of the Caribbean; Curse of the Black Pearl." When I get a few minutes that are not at 12:45 in the morning/night (whatever you want to call it) I will review them.

Our family is hopefully very soon going to see Amanda Palmer who is the lead singer in my favorite band (and of course they are very high on all four of our families lists of favorite bands) The Dresden Dolls. This is not a regular concert though. What it is, is she will be showing short films and then doing quite a few film soundtrack songs. It is called "Fuck the Back Row," and will be a lot less inappropriate then the title suggests. It will be kind of weird but we love Amanda so what the hell.

Also on a note that does not involve media, we have contacted one of the families that we befriended two years ago and are hopefully going to see them tomorrow, which is very exciting. There will be more updates on that later.

Also over the weekend we saw the Gaiman's at there house and got to see a drive in movie (Superman and Over the Hedge). We also got to spend the night, watch a few Dr. Who episodes including the one with "Anthony Stewart Head." We got to explore there garden, play on there trampoline, burn CDs, make cherry ice cream sauce, write weird things using different colored sharpie's, eat breakfast at Perkins with Maddy (Neil's daughter), and some other things that I can not recall at the moment. Over all it was a blast and we got to stay one full day, two nights and a morning.

Also for some more big news, we have made a lot of huge purchases recently. We are definitely gearing up for the trip. The first thing we bought was a laptop for Mommy. It is a MacBook and I am insanely envious because for about three weeks before she got the computer I was talking nonstop about how much I wanted one and I tend to be the kind of person who knows what they want and doesn't change it very often. Then Mommy got it and was very upset because she felt guilty about spending so much money (I wouldn't have been guilty, I would have been jumping around in a joyful bliss). So yeah it sucks to be me. Really I have gotten over it at this point, I just still haven't gotten over the wanting of it. With the laptop Winter got a free Nano thanks to Daddy's discount so that was awesome for her. Also Daddy and I got iWork which is a combination of two programs called "Pages" and "Keynote," they are pretty much Mac's answer to Word and Powerpoint. But this means that I get to cut all ties from Microsoft and don't have to deal with the king of crashing programs (aka Word, I have lost around 30 or 40 pages of work to messed up word stuff). So in the end I was multitasking that night, I was wallowing in the grief of my lac of a MacBook, joyfully prancing around with joy for iWork, putting songs into my sisters iPod, eating ice cream and showing Mommy how to take pictures on a DVD and then how to make them into Desktop patterns so she could have a Sports Night desktop. Okay so that night we didn't buy enough gadgets so a few days later we went out and bought an iPod transmitter for the car radio, some AAA batteries, a video camera tripod, some DVC tapes (digital video cassettes), a digital video camera battery and (I saved this for last to build up suspense but considering the previous items it is kind of obvious but for those that are really slow I can stall for a few more seconds to build up even more suspense) a Digital Video Camera. So yeah that was insanely awesome and it definitely got my mind of off the MacBook thing.

I am sure there is more to talk about it but I can not come up with it now.

I could say something witty to end this post but I don't really want to.

2:04 am
So today was a lot of fun. I woke up pretty late again and then decided to go make myself an egg. Well actually I made two but this was not an easy thing considering that there is no spatula in the house. I was able to do my best and make a vaguely edible egg. Actually it pretty much sucked but whatever.

Then the three of us lazily sat around for a while until Mommy took the initiative to get us of our butts (well really computers) and do something. We had planned to go to the zoo so that is what we did.

There are two zoos in the area. One is called the Como Zoo, the other one is just The Minnesota Zoo. Last year we went to the Como so we were thinking of going to the other one today. This of course was the plan until we found out that the other zoo was going to cost 36 dollars for two hours of amusement where on the other hand the Como was going to be a suggested donation of 4 dollars for the same amount of time. So we in the end went back to the Como.

Before entering the zoo we walked through the little amusement park at the entrance upon Winter’s request. The park was a lot less run down then it was two years ago but with the lack of run down aspects it also suffered from a lack of rides appropriate for Winter and my age. In the end we did not actually go on any of the rides, we will probably get to go on some in Camp Snoopy in the Mall of America so it is not that big of a deal.

Afterwards we ventured into the actual zoo part of the zoo. We got little frozen lemonade things for both Winter and I. We walked over to the lion exhibit and watched as the lions roamed around in their cage.

Then we went up and found our way into the monkey exhibit. There were a lot of monkeys in the room but we stayed for a very long time at the spider monkeys. They were climbing all over things and we were having a lot of fun watching them. One of them was very pregnant but was still able to swing from the branches with ease. Mommy and Winter talked a lot about their opposable thumbs or lack there of, while I took literally about a hundred pictures.

Then we went to the gift shop and I waited boredly (yes I know it is not a word) as Winter admired the souvenirs that the gift shop had to offer. I have still yet to uncover the appeal of the gift shop and am fearing an entire year of frequent visits to rooms of post cards, magnets, and unimpressive replicas of varied scenery when on the trip.

Then we went to beautiful gardens that stood near bye the zoo. The gardens were quite pretty and were nicely kept. I took about a thousand (not literally) pictures and maybe at some point I will upload them.

Then it was time to head out. When got back to the the art museum which was the suggested meeting place of the family we had a little disagreement. Mommy and Daddy had wanted to see the museum but Winter and I were both very hungry and had seen the museum yesterday.

In the end we wound up just taking a very short stroll through the museum and some how landed ourselves in yet another gift shop. Every one in the family went around looking at things as I waited, still immune to the allure of gift shopping.

For dinner we had an extremely enjoyable time at The Old Spaghetti Factory. The food was good as always especially the calorie loaded yet still to die for garlic bread. Once we were done we paid the bill and were off to the supermarket to pick up a few things. One of the few things being a spatula, yay!!

Then we got home and watched the Veronica Mars episode Meet John Smith (we being Winter and I). A few days ago when I last posted I realized that there was 22 days until Con which being the insanely obsessive fan girl that I am decided that since 22 is also the number of episode in a season we should watch a Veronica episode every day until Con, so we are now three in. Oh and on more obsessive fan girl news involving Comic Con and Veronica Mars, there will be a big Veronica panel at Con! It is at 4:30 and Saturday it is an hour long. Enrico, Francis, Michael, Ryan, Rob, Kristen, and Jason (YAY) are all going to be there and the there will be a signing afterwards so I will probably be late getting to our Saturday night dinner because I am willing to wait out the long line to see JD. Oh and on a similar note I was wondering if any one had the insider info on how to get the full schedule. All I know is the times for our panel and the Veronica panel; if you know how to obtain the full schedule then I will love you forever.

Best quote of the day:

2:01 am
So this may be kind of short even though it really should be pretty long considering I didn’t post yesterday. I was sick yesterday so I decided that sleep was more important than blogging.

As for today, it was pretty uneventful. First thing after I woke up way too late, I grabbed some breakfast. We had cereal in the house so I filled up a plastic cup. We didn’t actually get around to doing any thing so I just hung out on the computer. At one point someone came up and gave us a couch so now for a place for everyone to sit.

Then I went back into my room and continued to surf, iTunes, Word, QuickTime, iMovie, iPhoto, DVD, etc. (yes I know you really can’t verbify any of the previous things I mentioned or the word verb but I am doing it any way)

Then at some point I came out of hiding and pleaded for any sort of food but in return got a preoccupied Mom (she was reading something and didn’t want to be disturbed) and a depressed Winter (she was sad that Neil hadn’t called) so I cooked a few eggs and some more cereal. Then at some point Daddy came home and we went to get a real dinner.

We went to a mall that we had gone to 2 years ago and ended up going to the same restaurant that we went to last time. The dish I got was good but fairly spicy, Daddy and I had split the dish.

Then we all bought truffles, Winter decided to pass but Daddy, Mommy and I all got one. Mom got a Champaign one (which was very uncharacteristic), Daddy got an Amaretto (also uncharacteristic, what is up with that) and I got coconut, which by the way rocked.

Right now Mom and Pops are at a 10 showing of Superman and I really should be asleep. Well goodnight… but first:

Best quote of the day:
(Yesterday)
Daddy: Oh look there’s an elbow.
Me: If someone were to come in at the middle of our conversation that would sound really weird out of context

(Today)
Some random lady passing by: You really thought there was a poodle sewed on to the skirt.

Xterra count:
4 (yesterday) 6 (today)

CD’s listened to:
None

Miles traveled:

People that I saw today (from now on I will try to do a lot more detailed ones):
Mom, Dad, Winter, the person who sold us the truffles (Kate I think her name was), our waiter who served us dinner, the bus boy (or girl) who brought us water at dinner, the person who actually rang up the truffles, the two girls that brought up our couch, I think that was it.

States:
Minnesota

Temperature Range:
Stupidly didn’t look but it was fairly hot through today

Days until Comic Con:

Okay now goodnight. *turns off light*

1:33 am - 2 Days, 11 paragraphs and 7 lists
So today was moderately boring, but I think I am going to start with yesterday considering I didn’t get around to posting then.

The first thing we did yesterday is grab breakfast and jump into the car. We stopped at Subway to get some food. I personally am not a big Subway fan, I know that it is healthy but it tends not to be super filling and because I can’t get any meat, my selection of choices are extremely limited. Winter on the other hand is OBSESSED and pretty much chants “Subway, subway, subway,” Any time we mention the fact that we need a place to eat. This time Winter got her wish and we all sat down for a nice meal at Subway.

Soon we were back on the road. It took a while to get to Minneapolis but it was squeal inducing when we did. The first thing we went to was MCAD (Minnesota College of Art and Design) to get the keys to our dorm and so forth. Sadly the people we needed to talk to were not there. So waited for about an hour until we were able to make our way to the room.

It turns out that isn’t really a dorm “room” but more like a dorm “apartment”. I got my own room after long discussion and conflicting preferences of room situation. One of the biggest problems though was that there was no WiFi in the hotel. The only things that got Internet was an Ethernet cord in my room. And if that wasn’t bad enough my computer does not have the ability to receive Ethernet signals so we had a dilemma on our hands.

Luckily there was quite a few Apple Stores in the area and the school had informed us it was okay if we bought an AirPort and sold it back to them when we were done. Unluckily the directions that we had gotten to the Apple Store were so misleading that we had to turn around when we realized that they had closed. We were able to go to Mall of America and pick it up from the Apple Store there.

Then it was off to dinner. We got to go to Daddy and my favorite restaurant. It is called Noodles and Company and it is awesome. It has the three most wanted things in a restaurant: very good food, quick service (2-3 minutes from ordering to getting), and insanely cheap prices (Dad and I eat for 6 dollars combined). After that we went across the parking lot to the wonderful Ben and Jerry’s. We all got some tasty ice cream and went over to “Hollywood Video” to rent a movie (in California I have been looking all over for a Hollywood video, but it is not until we go to Minnesota that we actually find one, go figure).

We rented the movie, “Bring It On,” which was a cheerleader movie that Daddy liked so he had us see it. I enjoyed it and laughed for a long time about the fact that the season villains for both 3 and 5 were on the same cheerleading squad. Clare Kramer the actress who plays Glory was one of the cheerleaders and Eliza Dushku who plays Faith was the supporting lead. So yes the fan girly side of me was defiantly brought out (come to think of it I never DON’T show the fan girly side of me).

That was probably all of the important details of yesterday and considering it is so *bleep*-ing late here I should really give a kind of short summary of today.

After waking up insanely late, we went to a nice bagel place where I got a bagel mitt thingy with cheese and eggs as well as a blueberry muffin. We sat down to eat and once we were all finished we headed off to a super market called “Lunds” there we bought a whole lot of groceries and were on our way back home (okay not really “home” but it feels like home, really everything in Minneapolis feels like home).

Once home I did about 6 hours worth of fairly mundane things until it was time for dinner. At dinner Winter got a kids meal with a comic inside of it. The comic was hysterical. I will hopefully post it tomorrow. Daddy is planning on incorporating it into his class. As for food wise I got a veggie pizza and got an ice cream and cookie thing for dessert. The dessert we got for free but that is a whole other story that I am way to tired to tell.

After we got back home or possibly before we left to get food, I heard something out side. I thought that it was fireworks but Winter said that Daddy had told her it was thunder. I looked out the window and informed her that thunder doesn’t tend to be different colors in circular formations in the sky. So yup this has been the second fireworks display in the period of three day. WTF?

Best quote of the day:
Daddy: Is that Pirates (staring at the TV on one of the walls in the restaurant and trying to get Mom’s attention)
Mommy does not pay attention.
Daddy: Is that Josh Charles?
Mommy instantly turns around to look in the direction that he is looking.

11:57 pm - Today is Friday for the next three minutes
So we just had a little Internet catastrophe but we are online, so I am now writing. Well before I start, no wait I have already started, anyway at the beginning of this post I would just like to give a very big happy birthday to the most brilliant man live. That of course is Joss Whedon, the (brilliant) brains behind Buffy, Firefly, Angel, Serenity, etc. He has always been the meaning of life, the universe and everything but now his age confirms it. So I am wishing a very happy 42nd birthday to Joss Whedon.

Okay so that now that I have gotten the obsessive fangirl babbling out of the way I can get on to the stuff that happened with the family. But before I do that I need to express my bubbling excitement, TOMORROW I AM GOING TO BE IN MINNEAPOLIS. Okay now that that is out of the way as well, here is what went down during my day.

The first thing we did was eat at the continental breakfast. Even though it looked very similar to the one that we had ate at a few days ago it was not in a “Great Room” (for those who have short term memory loss, or have not been following my blog; one of the continental breakfast’s we ate at a few days ago was identical to the one I ate at today except for the one we had a few days ago had a sign next to the door that said ‘great room’).

After breakfast and packing and so forth, we were on our way to the next stop. So we drove for quite a long time. At about three or so we decided to make a stop and get some lunch. The restaurant we went to was Cracker Barrel, because it is one of Mommy’s favorite restaurants and there are barely any of them down in California. So every time we travel, we tend to end up eating there.

The food was very tasty. I got three side dishes that I had to carefully choose due to the fact that some of them were cooked with meat. I got apples, biscuits, carrots and a baked potato. It might be pretty starchy but it was also very good. Afterwards I was allowed to purchase some amazingly tasty maple syrup candy. In part why I was allowed to buy it was that the M&M’s that I had gotten at Vegas had been destroyed before I got to eat a single one.

After another very long drive we settled down in a city called Ames, Iowa. We were staying at a hotel that supposedly had two rooms, one with a pull out sofa bed and the other with a king sized bed but when got there, there was only one room. In the one room was only a King sized bed. So we called up the office and told them so they brought up a mattress even though there really wasn’t any room to put it. On top of that our Internet was not working so we had four people searching through their laptop trying to get connected.

After a very long time of franticly trying to get stuff in order we were all annoyed and a bit crabby.

We decided that we should probably get some food considering it was getting pretty late and we were all very hungry. Last time we were in Ames we went to a nice restaurant that Daddy really loved and has not been able to shut up about for the last four years.

I only remember that the waiter had said, “pardon my reach,” quite few times. One of the reasons I remember this is because we called it the pardon my reach restaurant. I didn’t remember much more than that although I did remember getting a Sprite or something, which just goes to show that it was a while ago considering that, I have not drunk any soda in the last year and a half or possibly two.

The restaurant was amazing though. The words pardon my reach were not said once but the food was very high quality. The first thing that was placed before us was raisin/walnut wheat bread. Then I got a very nicely prepared salad. I tend to not to enjoy salad because I find lettuce to be too bland, but this salad was very good. After that I ordered the only thing on the menu that did not have meat. It was insanely good though. It was a mix of a lot of different vegetables in a mushroom broth. Then we ordered two tasty chocolate mousses. All together everything was very delicious.

Daddy decided that we needed some fresh air so we all walked along Main Street. While walking we spotted a bunny rabbit. Everyone thought that it was very cute but I informed them that bunny’s aren’t just cute like everybody supposes. We were interrupted from our bunny admiring when we saw a firefly flying around. I have never seen a firefly before considering where I live, so that was really cool. I named in “Serenity”. As we walked we saw more and more of them. I decided to name them “Serenity part one,” “Serenity part two,” “Serenity the movie,” “Serenity the second movie,” the last ones nickname is wishful thinking.

And what better way to end the day then fireworks. As we were walking back to the car we heard a moderately large bang and looked over to investigate it. In the sky there was a fireworks display. Why it was there is still a mystery to us but I am convinced it is because of Joss Whedon’s birthday. It all made sense the bunny was to commemorate Anya and of course we all know what the firefly was commemorating. The fireworks were a nice touch. But the real end of the walk was when we heard an even louder siren like sound as a train came zooming by about 10 yards from where we were standing.

Over all it was a nice day and all is good because the Internet is now working!

Best quote of the day:
Winter: What would happen if Elvis shaved his hair off when he was still alive? (Note that absolutely nothing had been said to provoke this question)
Daddy: Winter you are probably the first 10 year old in the world to ask that… today.

And considering the weirdness of that last quote and the fact that I did not do one yesterday, I will give two tied best quotes. Also to understand this next one you must know that I frequently use the come back of saying what some one just said but adding a ‘your’ to it (example: that’s stupid, your stupid)

Winter: This is so cool.
Me: Your cool
Winter: Thank you
Me: Welcome… I mean your welcome

9:47 pm - More Driving; chapter number 4 of the epic saga of doing nothing really worth mentioning
Yay, the day after tomorrow I am going to be in one of the coolest places in the world; Minneapolis. Oh yeah, I am writing about today. So let’s see, we started off the day at a breakfast restaurant at the hotel we were staying at. Technically most of the dishes had meat but luckily that was just because it had bacon or sausage so it was really easy to just substitute it. I in the end got French toast, two eggs and a hash brown (the hash brown is what I got instead of meat). Then we finished up and hit the road again.

We drove for quite awhile until we made our first stop. When we did stop Daddy bought something to cover his laptop from the sun and Mommy bought the soundtrack to Urinetown. Then we got back into the car. We continued to drive for a long time until about three when we decided it was time to get some lunch.

Mommy and Winter went to KFC and Daddy and I went to a nice sit down Pizza Hut. It was kind of weird because I am used to Pizza Huts being a counter with a kitchen behind it and barely any room to wait. Luckily it wasn’t too hard to find a good vegetarian pizza. Once we were done Winter and Mom met us out side and we were back on the road.

At about seven or something we stopped at a nice little town called Lexington. The only reason we are here is because Dad grew up in Lexington in Massachusetts so they thought it would be funny to stay in one in Nebraska. Don’t ask me, my parents are weird.

We first stopped at Walmart and got a few things to eat for Dinner as well as vitamins and cough drops for this very annoying sore throat that I have right now.

The hotel that we are staying at has a room with a bunk bed. Winter and I are going to sleep on the bunk beds (Winter on the bottom bunk and me on the top bunk). There is a microwave and a refrigerator in the main room. So it is pretty nice.

The hotel has a heated, indoor swimming pool so Winter insisted that we swim in it. I had a moderate amount of fun in the pool but decided to leave early. Now I am sitting and bloging, obviously.

Also we just changed time zones again so we are 2 hours different from the Californians.

Another thing that kind of freaked me out was that there was a bookstore that was selling a shirt that said JESUS and had a flag in the background. Then when we were coming back from buying stuff at Walmart, I saw a car that had a fake license plate in the window that read in big letters “JESUS” and then under it, it said “[Jesus] loves you, this never expires.” Then on the same car there was a bumper sticker that said, “team god wins, all other teams lose.” I found them both kind of funny and a bit creepy.

Sorry for the short entrée, nothing really cool happened today.
